Bleecker Street Vintage is happy to announce that our range of Indian kantha quilts are beginning to arrive on our online store. Kantha (thanks wiki) is a type of stitch used in indian textiles which is similar to Japanese sashiko stitch.
A quick google image search will be able to illustrate the differences between kantha and sashiko.
Our quilts come in a range of styles from traditional to contemporary and are 230cm x 275cm, so they are suitable for a queen size or double bed. Alternatively, they can be used as a throw or for snuggling up whilst watching TV in winter.
